The new season of Game of Thrones starts on Sunday night, and if youre like a lot of people youve probably already binge watched a season or two just to prepare for the premier. In fact, if youre a Game of Thrones fan you have been waiting a long time for the series to start up again and in the meantime youve probably read every blog post, news article and behind the scenes expose that you could get your hands on. So why not take sometime to imagine your very own Game of Thrones inspired wedding? Here are eight things you need.
1. Goblets
Extravagant dinnerware is a must. Whether it's golden cutlery, embellished table runners, ornate candle holders or the ever present goblet, the table must be set perfectly.
2. Plenty of Wine
Because what's a good goblet without wine to put it in? Also, plenty of wine is a good rule of thumb for any special occasion.
3. Elaborate Hairdos
Think way beyond the French braid if you want a truly inspired up do. The more braids the better, and if you can work some jewels and flowers in there the more the merrier.
4. Crowns
Or maybe a tiara or a gold and glittering headpiece that helps let everyone know you are royalty and the star of the day. Well, really the star of everyday.
5. Rich textures & embroidered fabrics
Plush rugs, embroidered tablecloths, brocade gowns, and thick tapestries draped on the wall. Can't you just feel the opulence?
6. Entertainment
Sword swallowers. Fire eaters. An aerial dance routine. Anything over the top because remember this is no ordinary wedding and a choreographed rendition of 'Single Ladies' just isn't enough
7. Your Family Crest
Dont have one? Make one together with your fiancé and after the wedding youll have a perfect and unique piece of art commemorating your marriage.
8. Anything Gold
What you are really trying to capture is old-world splendor and nothing does that better than gold. You can accomplish this with ornate gold picture frames, chunky gold jewelry, vintage candlesticks and a stellar gold heel.
