National Cookie Day

Today is National Cookie Day, and it is the perfect day to eat something sweet and do something sweet, too. Thats why for the second year in a row the staff at Betsy Robinsons got together for a cookie swap. Each participant baked up a few dozen of their best cookies and brought them in to share. The result was nearly 700 cookies in more than a dozen sumptuous varieties: chocolate chip, oatmeal, double chocolate chip, red velvet, lemon and on and on. But even better than the cookies was the $1 donation made by Glad for every cookie baked. The proceeds benefit pediatric cancer research and treatment, and it was so great to be a part of the fundraiser. As we begin the holiday season we wish everyone happy baking, and encourage them to host a cookie swap of their own.
