Feature Betsy Bride of the Week: Kathleen
Feature Betsy Bride of the Week: Kathleen
Aug 09, 2017
An inquiry about the cute intern eventually led to this weeks Betsy Bride wedding of Kathleen and Mike. The couple first met when Kathleen was interning at a Boston investment bank in college and Mike was working there full-time. Mike asked through the grapevine if she was single and lucky for Mike, she was. A work cocktail party would get them to talking, and three dates later they were official. It didn't take Kathleen long to realize he was something special.
They continued to date after she went back to school in the fall. They would also spend three years dating long distance as jobs kept her in Boston and him in Baltimore. Kathleen would eventually join Mike in Charm City where they bought their first home together. They got engaged on a family boat in the middle of Lake Winnipesaukee in New Hampshire. It was just the two of them out on the open water and the perfect place to savor their happy news before sharing it with everyone. Their mid-July wedding was held in Boston at The Misselwood Estate at Endicott College.
Both Kathleen and Mike are from Boston and so a Boston wedding was a no brainer. Kathleen enjoyed every bit of wedding planning and could not have been happier with how the day turned out. According to her it was the most magical day ever. The weather was gorgeous, not a cloud in the sky with a great breeze off of the water. Her pictures by Mark Davidson Photography tell exactly that story. The ceremony could not have had a more beautiful backdrop. The sky is the perfect shade of blue and Kathleen looks amazing in her Maggie Sottero gown. It was the perfect canvas for accessories. She leveraged the clean simple gown with a stunning belt, and custom Thomas Knoell earrings and comb. To complete the look she added a dramatic cathedral length veil from Toni Federici. And voila, a true bride was made.
All the elements came together for a perfect summer day, and we could not be happier to have been a part of it. If you would like to share your Betsy Bride story please send an email to social@robinsonsbridal.com.
