This week's Betsy Bride, Jessica, is just bursting with joy over her recent wedding to husband and fellow teacher Tyler at the Stable at Bluemont Vineyard. In fact, she relayed the details of her wedding day with such warmth and excitement that I thought it might be nice for everyone to hear about it in her own words. She and Tyler met in 2015 when he was a senior working towards his teaching license and she was a Sophomore doing the same. Jessica was immediately smitten with his quick wit and sense of humor and was gushing about him to her mother within a week. It's pretty clear how perfect these two are for each other from their pictures alone, but it's even more apparent from Jessica's lovely descriptions.

Our wedding day was the best day imaginable. When we think back to it, there wasn't a thing we would change- it felt perfect. We got married at the Stable at Bluemont Vineyard.  The day was hot, but the skies were unbelievably blue!! Our bridesmaids and groomsmen looked amazing in their dresses and suits.

Tyler and I decided last minute to do a first look, and I am so glad that we did. Putting on my dress for the first time was emotional but so exciting. Shortly after the first look with my Dad, I went downstairs to do a first look with Tyler. I think I was trembling with excitement and nerves! I tapped on his shoulder and he turned around to see me. We were both overwhelmed gushing over the other one, Tyler in his suit and me in my dress. We hugged, kissed, and talked for a few minutes together before we were separated before the ceremony! Seeing Tyler before walking down the aisle was exactly what I needed. It was the best moment to just relish in the reality of the day going on around us. After that, when I walked down the aisle with my Dad, I could see Tyler standing at the end and I felt like I couldn't wait to get to him. He was so handsome. The ceremony was beautiful and shortly after we got to celebrate with our amazing friends and family during the reception. The first dance went surprisingly well even though I had on a huge ball gown! It was perfect for any swirl and spin. A few hours of dancing and singing led to a sparkler exit with all of our guests. We truly couldn't have asked for a better day.
