Betsy Bride Spotlight

On September 7th Kelly Sample and John Newby were married at the Floral Showhouse in Niagara Falls, Canada. Surrounded by friends and family and the majesty of the falls these two had the wedding of their dreams. We couldn't be happier for the couple, and we are grateful to get the inside scoop on their big day along with some sneak peek pictures from photographer Joseph Vetrone. How did you and your fiance meet? We met through mutual friends. We were immediately inseparable. He demanded dinner, and that was it. What made you pick your wedding gown? After being engaged for 3 days, my fiancé came home with a few bridal magazines. I turned to the dress, and there was no turning back. To this day, I havent seen a dress I love like mine. You got to meet the designer of your dress, Matthew Christopher, right? How did that feel? I felt like a queen, like the only bride in the store when I first walked in. I tried on other dresses first, and then couldnt wait to try on my dress. I knew it was the one, no question. Matthew called the shop to talk to me, and it made the experience completely surreal. After reading about him, and envying his work, talking to him, and buying his dress felt like a dream come true. Describe your wedding in 5 words. Love. Surreal. Majestic. Fairytale. Perfect. What was the best part of your wedding? When I saw my groom see me- thats why it was so important to look and feel my best. I got the reaction every bride dreams of. What's the best piece of advice you got that you would like to pass along? The day will fly. Your head will spin. Try to enjoy the process, and realize that the most important thing is marrying your soul mate. At the end of the day, if that is a success, then so is your wedding. That is all that will matter to you, to him, and to all your witnesses.
