The timelessly modern, elegent and sophisticated gowns for which the name Amsale is now synonymous were born out of a New York City loft apartment and one bride’s vision for her own gown. In 1985 when Amsale herself was a bride-to-be, she shopped and shopped but couldn’t find the type of “simple, refined” gown for which she was looking. Having graduated from the Fashion Institute of Technology, Amsale knew she could fill this void. After finding other brides were searching for the same types of gown, Amsale took a book of her sketches and a few couture seamstresses and turned her vision into a reality.

Over the last 26 years, Amsale has designed countless wedding dresses and has seen her business grow out of her apartment and into a 5,000 square foot shop on Madison Avenue. And in 2011, the “Amsale Girls” took to the Osygyn network with a show all their own.

Amsale gowns are unique, timeless, and “forever modern”. The fabrics are luxurious, and the design is spot on. From “modern updates to the traditional bustle” to her famous blue sash, Amsale’s design philosophy is evident in every wedding dress. Amsale is the definition of modern classic wedding gown design.
